Provincial Prior's Bodyguard

A  Provincial Prior’s Bodyguard comprising Knights of the Order was first appointed in Cheshire in 1948.

The Right Eminent Provincial Prior is anxious that traditional standards are maintained and suitable members below the position of Second Constable are invited to become a member of his Bodyguard.

The Knights selected to serve in the Provincial Prior’s Bodyguard are considered to be an integral part of the Provincial Team. By accepting that Office they are expected to attend on the Provincial Prior with other Provincial Officers at the Annual Provincial Meeting, at Official Provincial visits to Preceptories and Priories and any special occasions.

Members must always carry out their movements correctly with dignity, setting a good example at all times to other knights, both within their own Preceptory and when visiting other Preceptories.
